Delete your account
This page explains how to request deletion of your PACKRUN account and the personal data associated with it, whether or not you still have the app installed. The app is operated by Pack Run Ltd (company number SC883554). Full details of how we handle your personal data are in our Privacy Notice.
Request deletion by email
Email privacy@packrun.run from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line “Account deletion request”. We will confirm receipt of your request and complete the deletion.
How long will it take?
We will respond to your request within one month of receiving it, informing you of the action taken. Where a request is complex, we may extend this period by up to a further two months; if so, we will tell you within the first month of receiving your request and explain why. Where we comply with a deletion request, we complete the deletion without undue delay.
Delete your account in the app
You can delete your account directly in the app:
- Tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.
- Tap Security & Privacy.
- Tap Data & Privacy Controls.
- On the Data & Privacy screen, tap Delete My Account.
- Confirm in the two dialogs that follow.
Deletion takes effect immediately: your account and personal data are removed as described below, and you are signed out of the app.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete the personal data we hold about you in connection with your account, as described in our Privacy Notice. In plain language, this includes:
- Your registration details — name, email, password, date of birth, country and region.
- Your profile — profile photo, gender, emergency contact, race history, personal bests, and kit preferences.
- Content you have created in the app — race reviews and ratings, comments on race pages, and photos.
- Any health data you have voluntarily provided (such as medical conditions, medications and allergies for races requiring this data).
- Your usage and technical data, location data, feedback, and direct marketing preferences.
Please note that when you have booked a race, the race organiser also holds your race entry data as a separate and independent controller. Deleting your PACKRUN account does not delete data held by race organisers — you should refer to their privacy notices and contact them directly about data they hold.
What is retained and why
As set out in our Privacy Notice, we only retain personal data for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, and as long as needed to meet any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. This means that transaction and payment records are retained after account deletion where required for legal, accounting and tax purposes, along with any other data we are required by law to retain. Race registration records are retained in anonymised form — your name is replaced and your date of birth, emergency contact and any health details are removed — to preserve the booking and financial audit trail.
The right to erasure is not absolute and there may be circumstances where we are entitled to refuse a request, as explained in the “Your legal rights” section of the Privacy Notice. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@packrun.run.
